The Ponies

Top:Cheeto came to us as a very sick pony, he had been kicked by a full size horse and had his right eye knocked out and had not been treated by anyone. He also had double pneumonia and the heaves. BUT.... after he was treated and cured he became an excellent carting pony.

Top Left: Katie (left) and Jordan take Betty for a cart ride. Betty is a "been there done that"pony. She is a veteran saddle, costume and cart pony of parades, county fairs, 4H events etc. Top Right: Jordan takes Maude for a bare back ride, she is also a great little pony, she is great saddle and carting pony.
Top: Last summer we took Maude in on a trade for another pony that was much larger, however both parties agreed that we were getting a good pony. What we were not told was that Maude was a bred pony. In mid April of this year (2018) I went out to the barn one morning and there was this little guy standing next to Maude. Six months later he was three inches taller than his momma. We believe that she was bred with a much larger pony or full size horse. Unknown to us the birth occurred overnight and there were no signs of any problems. Both were and are very healthy.

Even though it has been more than a year since we have had Maude hooked up to a cart she stood patiently for harnessing and drove beautifully.
